LDM Modeler: More Options for Working with Attribute Labels

When working on a logical data model (LDM) in the LDM Modeler, you now can:

  • Set a default label for an attribute
If an attribute has multiple labels, the attribute values belonging to the default label are used when the attribute is used in a report or an insight.

  • Sort an attribute by a label
When an attribute is sorted by its label, the attribute values used in a report/insight get sorted in the order that the values belonging to this label are sorted in (by default, in ascending order). The label itself may or may not be used in the report or the insight.

Automated Data Distribution v2: Running Multiple Data Load Processes at the Same Time

In a workspace, you can now run (or schedule to run) multiple ADD v2 data load processes at the same time. The processes running concurrently must load data to different datasets in the workspace, though.

GoodData.UI Version 8.1 Available: Custom Date Format and ES Module Build Artifacts

We have released Version 8.1 of GoodData.UI, our powerful library for building analytical applications powered by GoodData.

What's new in GoodData.UI Version 8.1

  • Custom date format
You can now set up a custom format for dates in the Date Filter component. For more information, see Date Filter.
NOTE: This feature is also available for Analytical Designer and KPI Dashboards.

  • ES module build artifacts
ES module build artifacts are now included in published packages. This allows for more efficient tree shaking of the GoodData.UI code in your target applications and can reduce the footprint of the GoodData.UI code in the applications by up to 20% (depending on how much code from the individual packages a particular application uses).

Google Chrome Extension Tool: New Version Available

We have released a new version of the Google Chrome Extension Tool, a useful extension for the Google Chrome browser that allows you to easily open the gray pages for various objects, retrieve basic information about the workspace in two clicks, and browse the information from the log files presented in a user-friendly format.

REMINDER: Use TLS Version 1.2 or Higher Only

Support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.0 and 1.1 is deprecated and will end in one of future releases. We will announce the exact date as soon as it is set.

How will this affect you?
All modern web browsers and programming languages already support the newer versions of TLS (1.2 and higher). Unless you use obsolete software or unsupported systems, you are not affected.

You may be affected if you are using an older version of the libraries or programming languages in your tools. To verify, check the documentation for your tool:

ACTION REQUIRED!
Make sure that all your components and integrations use TLS version 1.2 or higher.

What will happen if you do not upgrade to the newer versions?
When support for TLS version 1.0 and 1.1 ends, if you do not switch to a newer version of TLS, the integration with the GoodData platform will stop working.
