Monday as First Day of Week in Date Filters for User Account
Only for the dashboards available via the 'Dashboards' option in the top menu
By default, the calendar in a date filter displays Sunday as the first day of the week. Now, you can change it to Monday for your user account on the GoodData platform. For more information, see Set First Day of Week in Date Filters to Monday.
<==>
To set the first day of the week to Monday at the level of the domain, project group, or project, set the platform setting weekStartOnMondayEnabled
to true
. For more information about the platform settings, see Platform Settings.
NOTE: This setting does not affect the date filters in Analytical Designer or KPI Dashboards.
COPY FROM S3 Works Normally
COPY FROM S3 is operational again, and you can use it for loading data from Amazon S3 buckets.
What has changed:
- For you to be able to use COPY FROM S3, GoodData Support must first enable it on your Data Warehouse instance.
- Instead of using API, you have to provide the credentials directly in SQL commands. The API resource for setting the credentials (
https://secure.gooddata.com/gdc/datawarehouse/instances/{instance_id}/s3
) was removed.

WITHOUT PF EXCEPT for Numeric Range Filters Improvement
The behavior of the WITHOUT PF EXCEPT clause in MAQL has been updated. The behavior is now less restrictive and more intuitive. In cases where WITHOUT PF EXCEPT was used with a numeric range filter in a MAQL metric, the report filter was not applied in the numeric range filter. With this update, the numeric range filter is filtered by the report filter as expected.

REMINDER: Deprecation and Upcoming End-of-life: Project Templates
The project templates are deprecated and will stop working on May 15, 2019.
How will this affect you?
If you are using the project templates, they will stop working on May 15, 2019. Any request to the GoodData platform that includes a project template will fail.
How can you get prepared?
Check whether you are using the project templates. If you are using them, start using Life Cycle Management (LCM) instead as soon as possible. LCM allows you to configure and control multiple workspaces through master workspaces.
ACTION REQUIRED!
Make sure that you either adopt LCM or update your solution to run without the project templates before the end-of-life, May 15, 2019.

For more information about LCM, see Managing Projects via Life Cycle Management or contact your Account Manager. For more information about the project template deprecation, see Project Templates.
