What's New: Release 93

CloudConnect: Introducing the Data Loading Administration Console

NOTE: The CloudConnect Data Loading Administration console has been superseded by the Data Integration Service Console. DLA will be available until September 2014, at which time it will be discontinued and no longer available.

The CloudConnect Data Loading Administration console lets project administrators manage the schedules and executions of ETL graphs across all of their projects. Now, through an easy-to-use interface, project administrators can schedule the automated execution of ETL graphs to refresh data in their projects, as well as perform ad-hoc graph executions, monitor execution performance, and set up execution notifications for project stakeholders.

Navigate to the Data Loading Administration directly from GoodData by selecting the new Go to Administration option from the user account dropdown.

Sorting in Bar Charts

Sorting is now available in single-attribute bar charts. The new sorting controls, found in the Report Editor's sliding configurations pane, allow you to sort a report's values in alphabetical or numerical order.

You can sort chart values in alphabetical (or reverse alphabetical) order by attribute value name:

Or you can sort chart values numerically (in either ascending or descending order) by metric value magnitude.

For more information on sorting charts with multiple metrics, see our Sorting in Bar Charts article.

Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication – Users Now Directed to SSO Logout Page

Upon logging out of GoodData, users who authenticate via single sign-on will now be redirected to a static logout page. This page will inform users that they have logged out while providing no option of logging back in – reducing confusion for users unused to directly logging in to the GoodData web portal. This logout page will be fully white labeled for users whose solutions are white labeled.

New MAQL Functions: Logarithms and Exponents

Four new mathematical functions in MAQL will now allow you to use exponents and logarithms while working with metrics, metric expressions, or numerical constants:

Streamlined Single-Value Selection in Dashboard Filters

Until now, attribute and variable dashboard filters with multiple value selection enabled have all values selected by default. Users seeking to select just one value must first uncheck (Select all) before then selecting a value of interest.

Since selecting a single filter value is a common use case, we've streamlined this process by providing a handy only link beside each value. This allows users to select only one filter value in a single click.
