Setting Pre-Defined Drill Paths in GoodData from GoodData on Vimeo.
This short "How-To" video shows how to report authors can add pre-defined drill paths to their reports and help report viewers "dig deeper" into the numbers in a controlled manner. See how easy it is to create these interactive reports!
Drill paths are great but is there a way to create a drill path in the created report to even more data?
Can you please explain here? You can create drill paths into fields which are contained within your project. Can you please explain what you mean by "even more data"?
Yeah. So I'm looking at a chart that gives me tickets solved per hour of the day. My drill path takes me to a chart for that hour broken down by agent, what would be ideal would be to have a drill path on that chart that would take me to a breakdown of that agent's tickets, in that hour, by ticket type.
Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand. Unfortunately, this is beyond our ability with a drill step. The drill step is intended to break down a metric by a new attribute (ie, one step)
The feature you are asking for we refer to internally as drilling into a new report. We do not have this yet, but it is on our feature request list here:
This ability is certainly planned, but at the moment, I'm unsure about where this falls on our roadmap.
FYI-- "Drill across was released in R71" (per http://support.gooddata.com/entries/245553)
